However, I do have some concerns about the company's pricing tactics. I've noticed that rental rates fluctuate quite frequently, which can be a bit confusing and frustrating. Despite this, Clay’s excellent customer service makes the overall experience positive. I needed short term storage for all my household furniture and belongings, as I waited for occupancy at my new home. I contacted a number of local facilities but once I spoke to Clay at Mini Mall Storage I stopped searching. I went to do paperwork with him and had a quick tour, was extremely impressed with all the buildings and the rates were reasonable. Clay’s customer service was excellent and he was very helpful with finding the right size unit and accommodating my needs. Everyone that was involved in moving my items were impressed by the cleanliness, ease of access and good security. I’ve already recommended this facility to others and I will definitely rent another unit if I ever need one.

This has been the best storage experience by far, fully app controlled gated entry and app controlled lock for your unit, wide lanes to accommodate multiple customers using the facility, spacious storage facility with high ceilings. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the manager of the facility, even went so far as to notify me when my unit didn't lock properly, locked it for me, and showed me how to avoid the issue in the future! Last month we moved our storage from Nanaimo north to the south of town to a larger unit on Harold Road, the Mini Mall Storage. We enjoyed meeting Clayton, the Manager who greeted us and kindly spent time finding us the right sized and affordable unit. Our new drive-up unit has in-floor heating, ventilation and overhead lighting. The easy phone app opens the security gate and the unit door. Exceptionally attentive and helpful service, from everyone I spoke with, especially Clayton. I posted earlier, but I have to review again. We are moving, so dates for moving our stuff are tight. We wanted to reserve our spot a few months out so we would know it would be available. Other self-storage areas in Nanaimo were vague about dates, or would not reserve. Clayton, on behalf of mini-mall storage, has really gone the extra mile. He offered us a promotional rate, which allowed us to reserve and start storing early. When it turned out that we needed more space than originally anticipated, he immediately found us a new spot. The security at Mini Mall is excellent, and is activated through a phone app. Clayton walked me through the registration process. When I was loading my stuff into my unit, Clayton helped me measure spaces to make sure bigger things would fit. I have reviewed hotels and restaurants, but I did not think I would find myself reviewing a self-storage place. But this facility is so superior: clean, secure and convenient, and Clayton's assistance at ever point made our move go so much easier.

Awesome facility! I was able to rent a unit online in minutes and then got a phone call from Clayton, (who’s name I read in reviews here, and can confirm he is great) he confirmed my rental and gave me instructions to get the app for access to the site on my phone. I have a small unit and can drive up to the door closest to it. There are entry points to inside at each end and one in the middle for easy access. They also keep a dolly at the door to make it easy to transport your items from your car to your storage unit. (If it is an indoor unit) The property is very clean and the overall ease to rent and to access the units and great costumer service are all top notch and I would definitely recommend.
