Storage lockers were clean and accessible. I would recommend them to anyone looking for storage, or any of the other services they offer. 12 Mile Storage is really great - the staff is super friendly & efficient, and the storage unit was clean & in perfect condition, & reasonably priced. The location was very convenient for us, & they have pretty much every size & type of storage available including covered and open RV/boat/vehicle storage in addition to all sizes of lockers & units. They even gave us a free window ice scraper as a little thank you for choosing them for our storage needs!

This facility took out 100 dollars, 2 weeks after I had already moved my few things out of storage. It's been an entire month, and they have still not paid me back. They told me they sent a cheque, and now are refusing to take my calls. Absolutely unacceptable. Reply to your response: That's incorrect, I spot with an older man and woman at that front desk the moment I left. I asked them specifically where the garbage dump was, she asked me my unit number and gave her my full name, she stated she would take care of closing out the unit account. I thanked them and went on my way. I have records showing my leaving the unit that day. Super unprofessional. Do not recommend this place.

Unfortunately this wasn’t the best experience this time around. I’ve used this storage facility (12 Mile Storage) prior to this new company for 2 previous moves. Each of those were very easy and stress free. Mini Mall sent me a total of 17 emails over the course of 4 months constantly requesting my signature, approval of different locks, an increase in monthly payments stating “operating costs due to global factors in todays economic environment”, requests for payment details and then clarified the details were fine and it was an issue on their end. Even now, I continue to receive emails with a new lock code and we have vacated the unit. We also asked if they provide early move out refunds (we emptied the unit 2 weeks early) but this was not provided when 12 Mile Storage provided this without question. The staff are friendly enough and the location was appropriate for our needs, it’s just very clear this is a chain business and the “small town hospitality” is a way of the past.

I tried to rent a storage space for my boat. I set it up with the centre in Texas. I went to the place at the end of day Saturday. The code never worked. I couldn't get a hold of anyone. It was at least the next day before I heard from any one. They claimed I had the right code but it never worked. It didn't work out. I had taken my boat back home. It cost me a month's rent.

I was notified on April 18, 2022 that my rent would be going up $10.50 per month as of June 1. I was annoyed, since I'd only had the storage unit for a few months at that time and already they were changing the agreement, but I didn't complain because it's only $10. Then on January 23, 2023 I received another notice saying that my rent would be increasing again by $19.95 as of March 1, for a total increase of $30.45 (or 25.4%) within the space of nine months. I do not know if this is legal but I know that it is, at the very least, shady, and I do not buy the explanation given both times that "inflation" is to blame. The inflation rate is high, sure, but it is not now nor has it ever been anywhere near 25.4%. If you rent a unit from this company for more than a month or two, you will regret it.

Since the new owners took over I have been very unimpressed with the level of service, multiple rate increases and reduced access. I have just found another storage place and was told on the phone I would get a prorated refund and then Told on email I would not. Unprofessional owners, with consistent staff shortages not surprising if they treat their staff how they treat their customers. I would recommend finding another storage facility for anyone considering using mini mall storage.
