I would love to give this place more stars however I am new to this company and they have already “dropped the ball” per se. I rented my unit on a Saturday and it was easy enough. I have three days to move my stuff out of my house and into storage. While moving my stuff I noticed a sign on the property of mini mall storage. It stated that the gate will be closed at 3pm on Nov, 11th for repairs on the property and would not be back open until Nov 12th at 6am. But there is a gate entry if you absolutely need to access your things. No big deal right? I’ll just get a couple things moved over before 3pm. I showed up at 11am and the cement truck was there blocking the entrance of the gates. I was told that it’s closed because “the cement guys were late, they had been sitting there all morning, waiting on something” um I’m confused. They’re late, but the gates were supposed to be open until 3pm? The guy in the office who told me they were from another store says he has no idea, and that the “walk through” gate that supposedly can be accessed, hasn’t been opened in 10 years. So I asked him why they would tell people that if you can’t access it and his reply was “well technically you can, if you drive into the trailer park, and find it, but it’s going to be a long walk for you” I asked why they would even put that on the sign if you really can’t access my unit, and why would they put that the access gate would be closed at 3pm if they shut it down 4 hours early!!!! I then said I needed to know exactly where this gate is because if I have to move my things with a shopping cart I will.” His reply was “I don’t know, there’s nothing I can do for you, I’ll text the manager and let them know what’s going on” and then he hung up on me. Like WOW if this is how business is ran and people are treated who are giving you money for your services, that you promised them, then after I’m done with with this place I will not be recommending them to anyone I know! Not to have access to MY personal belongings is absolutely ludicrous! And to be treated like a problem, because they, as a company don’t know how to be true to their word and not lie to people! I understand things happen, but if the paper stated that the gates will be closed after 3pm for maintenance, then 4 hours early is a bit of a stretch to close the gates when people are actively trying to move things on a time limit. I can work around a company needing to do maintenance repairs and such but the way i was just treated because of the blatant lie on their own paper is ridiculous

This place used to have the best prices in the area. It got bought over by Mini Mall and now has the worst pricing thanks to FOUR fees that have been added. A $6 administrative fee. A $2 carbon recovery fee. A $7 facility management fee. And a $4 payment processing fee. This is worse than Ticketmaster. Horrendous, greedy, nonsensical. Do any of those fees sound reasonable to anyone?

Absolutely! It’s important to us that your belongings are protected. Therefore, we require all tenants to hold a valid insurance policy. Get covered with your own insurance plan and provide proof of coverage with your policy number, coverage overview, start date, and expiry date.
