Jimsmith is conveniently located just on the outskirts of Cranbrook and is situated around a lakeside forest filled with historic Douglas fir and larger-than-life Larch trees. On hot summer days you will be dying to grab your paddle board and get it straight in this calm water!  

Kikomun Creek Park 

This is a favorite spot for many, and we can understand why! Kikomun Creek Park is situated on lake Koocanusa, a lake that is shared between Canada and the United States (hence the name Koo-Can-Usa). Don’t miss out on the Baynes Lake Farmers Market on Saturdays for a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by local volunteers.  

Moyie Lake Provincial Park  

Moyie Lake is located about 20 minutes outside of Cranbrook and is fantastic for a summer getaway. There is so much to do on this sandy lake! Take the kids to enjoy the playground or set the wake on the boat and go surfing on the crystal blue waters.

Foodies rejoice! Cranbrook, BC has some amazing local cuisine that will have your taste buds wanting more. One of the best things about small towns is the locally owned restaurants, and Cranbrook is no different. You will quickly become a regular at Sakura if sushi is your go-to comfort food. Date night? Head to The Hideout! We recommend trying the pulled pork spaetzle. Need a pick me up to keep you going through your travels? Coffee lovers will have plenty to try with the menu at Hot Shots Cafe, the hazelnut zebra coffee and rolo hot chocolate are sure to be your new obsession.

More of a sports fan? The Cranbrook Bucks are the town’s local BCHL team. Cheer on the home team and get yourself a set of season tickets, this event is fun for the whole family!

Take in some of the amazing bike and hiking trails that Cranbrook offers. The Northstar Rails to Trails is a popular spot for bikers who want to get the most out of their ride. Start in Cranbrook and End in Kimberley for ice cold beer at The Shed as a reward, this trail is 28-kilometeres long and will definitely have you feeling the burn in the best way.
